http://kb.its.bethel.edu/articles/355/

This article is currently unmaintained, and may not be accurate.

Entourage can be configured with Bethel's LDAP server to enable Entourage users to look up email addresses for Bethel students, staff, and faculty. Below are directions for Entourage 2004, but similar enough to earlier versions that they can be easily adapted.

  • From Entourage's top menu, select Tools and then Accounts from the resulting drop down menu.
  • In the resulting dialog window, click on the Directory Service tab similar to figure 1.
  • Click on the New button to launch the Account Setup Assistant.

  • In the Account Setup Assistant, click on the Configure account manually button similar to figure 2.

Figure 2

  • Click on the The Account Settings tab similar to figure 3.
  • In the Account name: field, type Bethel LDAP
  • In the LDAP server: field, type ldap.bethel.edu
  • Click the Options tab.

  • In the Search base: field, type dc=bethel,dc=edu
    (There's not a space in between dc-bethel, and dc=edu)
