Using Classroom computer and projection systems
To
Use the Instructor Workstation attached to the Projector
Network cable should be plugged into a port with
a blue or red dot.
The video switchbox on the right side of the cart should be set to A for the cart computer.
Turn on the projector using the ON
or POWER button
on the top of the remote.
Use the remote INPUT button to select Computer Output (Input 1).
If you wish sound from the computer, Make sure the sound amplifier is
on, the Computer button is selected, and the volume is adjusted
correctly.
When finished PLEASE turn the projector off with the OFF
or STANDBY button. The OFF or STANDBY button must be pressed twice
to turn off the projector.
To
attach a laptop to the Network and the Projector
Use the "three cable bundle on the right side to connect your laptop computer to connect to your computers VGA, ethernet, and sound ports.
Set the video switchbox on the right side of the cart to B for laptop
projection.
Turn on the projector,
set to Input 1(as above) prior to starting up your laptop.
Turn on your laptop (You may have to restart to get the computer to
recognize the projector if you do not turn the projector on first.)
PC's must
use Fn-F3 or Fn-F5 key combinations to see the video on both the screen
and their monitor (press the combination 2 - 3 times until the settings
are what you want).
Macs must must use the display preferences to "Detect Displays" and
then "Turn on Mirroring".
Please rewind the cables around the cable holder when done.
To Use the Attached VCR/DVD combo to show a video or DVD through the Projector
Turn the Projector AND VCR/DVD nn using the ON or Power buttons
Press the Input button
on the Remote until Video Shows up (Typically Input 3)
Press the Play button on the VCR or DVD. Make sure the
sound amplifier is on, the VCR/DVD button is selected, and the volume is
adjusted correctly.
