Using the Instructor Station and Projector System

 Please Turn Projector OFF after class

To Use the Instructor Workstation attached to the Projector

image001.gif The Network cable should be plugged into a port with a red dot
bluedot.gif or a blue dot.
  • Turn on the projector using the remote (usually attached to the cart or chalk tray).
  • The switchbox on the side of the cart should be set to A for the cart computer.

  • Use the ON or Power button on the top of the remote (If the remote (Sharp Projectors) will not turn on the projector, just press the On button on the bottom of the Projector.)
  • Use the remote INPUT button to select Computer Output (RGB or Input 1).
  • When finished PLEASE turn the projector off with the Power or OFF
    button (On the Sharp projectors, the remote OFF button must be pressed twice to turn off the projector.)

To attach a laptop to the Network and the Projector

  • Connect the monitor port to the monitor cable exiting from the switch box on the middle shelf
  • AND connect the green Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port on your laptop (Please recoil these cables around the cable holder below the top shelf when finished with class).
  • Both switchboxes on the middle shelf should be set to B for laptop projection.
  • Turn on the projector, set to Input 1(RGB)  ( as above) prior to starting up your laptop. Turn on your laptop (You may have to restart to get the computer to recognize the projector if you do not turn the projector on first.)

To Use the Attached VCR to show a video through the Projector

  • Turn the VCR On using the Power Button
  • Press the Input button on the Remote until Video Shows up (Typically Input 3 or 2)
  • Press the Play button on the VCR
